GAIN GETS CREATIVE AS IT GROWS

At Gain we have been practising what we preach, seen increased demand for what we do and appointed a new member to its team the launch of a brand new service and further growth anticipated shortly.

Gain was established in Cornwall in 2012 by Ian Jefferies a former Price Waterhouse accountant and Finance Director with Barclays Bank, and has grown its client base by concentrating on helping businesses flourish in addition to providing traditional accountancy services.

We also provide business owners with a range of management information and business management services, enabling small business owners who want to grow their business the opportunity to fully understand what their numbers are telling them, working with Gain to prepare and implement tailored growth plans in line with their objectives.

We are nowIMG_3372 expanding by launching a marketing and communications service, which is being headed up by former PR and marketing director Graham Buckley, who will also be responsible for marketing Gain in its own right.

According to Gain MD Ian, whilst on the surface it may seem unusual for an accountancy firm to launch a marketing and PR division there is a natural synergy between a business’s finance, its growth ambitions and the importance of marketing and communications, with the new service designed to complement and enhance what Gain is already delivering for its clients.

“This is a really exciting time for us and we are delighted to welcome Graham to the team and launch the new marketing services which will enhance the range of accountancy and business management services we already offer. Accountants are not often considered a rich source of business support and advice and more often than not are just used to process and deliver the statutory financial obligations such as VAT returns, tax returns, payroll and annual accounts.

“That really shouldn’t be the case however and from our launch, we have set out to take a completely different approach by not only understanding our client’s businesses thoroughly but discussing their growth ambitions from the moment we meet and by doing so devising and implementing tailored strategies to help them achieve their goals.

“How a business markets itself by reaching, retaining and continuing to build its customer base is critical to business growth and the launch of our new marketing service will help SME’s in Cornwall that have growth ambitions tap into the in-house expertise and experience we have that can make a big difference,” said Ian.

“Over the last 17 years Graham has worked with a wide range of clients and businesses – from multi-nationals such as Marigold gloves to smaller Cornish businesses across a range of sectors that span tourism, food and drink, manufacturing, hospitality and leisure, environmental, pharmaceutical and professional services, helping raise profiles, increase sales and creating a wealth of marketing materials and campaigns.

“This combined with our existing experience and expertise highlights that we are a Cornish accountancy firm that is so much more than just numbers,” added Ian.

In addition to the appointment of Graham, Gain is also in the process of recruiting another member to its accounts team.
